Input Tax Credit (ITC) Matching
Claiming Input Tax Credit requires your internal expense data to match the vendor's uploaded data (GSTR-2B) on the government portal perfectly. Outlay's ITC Matching tool automates this reconciliation.
The GSTR-2B Sync
By connecting your GST Portal credentials to Outlay, our system will automatically pull down your GSTR-2B data on the 14th of every month.

Reconciliation Statuses
Once synced, Outlay assigns a status to every B2B expense in your workspace:
- Matched The invoice number, date, and tax amount perfectly match what the vendor filed. Safe to claim ITC.
- Mismatched The vendor filed the invoice, but the tax amount or date differs from the receipt you uploaded.
- Missing in 2B You have the receipt, but the vendor has not filed it with the government yet. You cannot claim ITC this month.
Vendor Follow-up
For `Missing in 2B` invoices, Outlay can automatically generate an email draft for you to send to the vendor, reminding them to file their GSTR-1 so you can claim your credit.
